National Museum of American Illustration at Vernon Court, Bellevue Avenue, Newport RI
The National Museum of American Illustration featured Paul Szep's portraits and political cartoons in 2015. Szep was among three Laureate honorees (along with NBC's Today Show host Matt Lauer and Golden Globe-nominated actress-author Evangeline Lilly) who received an American Civilization Award at NMAI’s 15th Anniversary Gala event on July 30, 2015, at Vernon Court in Newport. Previous honorees include comedienne, actress, author and talk show host Whoopi Goldberg, celebrated author Tom Wolfe, and the National Arts Club in NYC for each of their contributions to Popular American Culture.
